Thank you for taking interest in our organization.
For your convenience we have provided an overview of our membership and vetting practices:
Dual Membership and Vetting Practices
Members of other militia groups cannot become members of the Kansas City Area Militia. This does not generally include groups that are mostly limited to social media. We do our best to avoid conflicts of interest with other groups.
Members of the Armed Forces cannot become members of the Kansas City Area Militia. This is due to the Uniform Code of Military Justice and active service members not being allowed to join a militia group.
Our vetting procedure is somewhat fluid and is very much in your hands as a prospective member. When you contact us through this site or by emailing , you will be put in contact with one of our leaders. We will coordinate a time and public place to meet to discuss your membership with KCAM. This is a great time for you to ask any questions you have of us and you should expect questions from us as well.
There is a probationary period dependant upon the effort of the probationary party. The probationary period is the time where you determine if the Unit is a good fit for you, and where we decide if you are a fit for the Unit.
Please feel free to contact us for additional information and a complete copy of our by-laws.
