Are we truly living in a new world?
That's what keeps getting beaten into our heads right? The bias is obvious, and it seems to keep getting worse. You've heard, "The New Normal", almost being used as a slogan for the majority of 2020 by everything from doctors, to major companies. While the somber piano music plays in the background as X company let's you know that they're here for you during these unprecedented times, one has to ask, where does it stop?
No, we aren't just talking about COVID-19. It seems a lot of unprecedented events have taken place this year and could be here to stay for the foreseeable future.
A better question would probably be, "what should I do?" The answer, PREPARE. You hear that from us a lot, and you will continue to.
If [name your scenario] should come to fruition in the near future and you find yourself asking, "What do I do?", you're probably already too late.
"Prepper" and "Militia" go hand in hand. One doesn't really go without the other. You could have a stockpile of everything you could possibly need for you and your family for years to come. If you don't have the training and skills needed to defend it, all you've done is provide provisions for the ones who didn't prepare, but know how to fight for what they need, and they'll be looking for you.
On the other hand, you could have all of the skills and training available to you in the world. If you don't have the supplies, plans and equipment to help you survive, you will also fail. You need both. Sources of clean water and food are of course a priority. When those aren't readily available at your local store anymore, what then? If you are severely dehydrated, or near starving, a rifle and all the high speed kit in the world may not help you. Hunting and fishing are certainly options, however, if you're in an urban environment you're going to have the same ideas as everyone else sharing that environment.
Area studies are an absolute MUST. If you don't know what this is, or what it means, we highly recommend you check out Forward Observer (www.forwardobserver.com).
Supplies, skills, training, knowledge, security, and overall preparedness are key. It can be extremely hard to maintain these by yourself. You don't have to. Get your friends and neighbors together for these conversations. If you don't have those options, or don't get along with your neighbors (it happens), then you still have options.
Join your local militia. It doesn't even have to be ours. While we are certainly seeking people just like you, we would much rather you be prepared with those you trust and can count on above all else. There are truly strength and security in numbers. We can certainly help. If not us, then please, do your research and ask questions of any group you are looking to join and associate with. Most will have your best interests at heart along with those of your family, some, unfortunately, may not.
If you're looking, or have been watching from the shadows, now is the time. Contact us and we will set up an in person meeting with you to answer any questions you may have. You might be pleasantly surprised.
